How to Treat Night Time Anxiety

I would think that the vast majority of anxiety suffers, would like to be adept to treat night time anxietyr. I don’t see what it is, but having night time anxiety feels tons worse than having anxiety in the day.

I used to suffer with night time anxiety really bad, it got to the point where I started to be afraid of the night time. And of course the extra thinking that I gave to it the more powerful my night time anxiety got. It started to be a viscous circle.

How i learnt to treat night time anxiety, was that i put into place some coping strageties.

The chief thing I did was to have a dvd player in the bedroom, and played my favourite films to divert me from my anxiety. Since I really considered necessary a respectable nights sleep.

Actually what I considered necessary was a disruption from my anxiety. Focusing on a film that I liked sidetracked my mind, which gave me minor breaks from my anxiety. But it was more than that, if a disruption could stop my anxiety it just proved to me that my opinion where attracting my anxiety.

This in truth started to support me treat my night time anxiety. A small break from my anxiety was thoroughly appreciated, I can tell you.

I also bought some relaxation cd’s to listen too as I was trying to go to sleep. Being relaxed really does relieve anxiety. When we are in a anxious state are bodies are so tensed and prepared for the fight or flight syndrome, we thoroughly need to get our bodies to lighten up and feel calm and peaceful. I cannot stress this enough, get your body to loosen up.

I also tried exercises at night before I went to bed to get rid of all my surplus energy. This may well sound surprising but I was up for trying anything to treat night time anxiety. My night time procedure was exercise, soak in the bath, then either a dvd or a relaxation tape to help me get off to sleep.

You may perhaps also try taking some natural herbs at night to assist you unwind and get off to sleep. Make sure you talk to a specialist who can direct you on what to take and how much to take.

If you do not mind taking tablets to treat night time anxiety, then there are sleeping tablets or sedatives that you can take that will help you ease your night time anxiety. Again ask your general practitioner about what tablets are available and safe to take.

But bring to mind taking tablets for anxiety does not cure your anxiety, but it does give you a break from it. The best way to treat anxiety is to find a counsellor or personal coach who can help you to work through the issues that are causing your anxiety. This is the only way to treat night time anxiety and s it.
